Our Commitment to Equality

At Raynsford Church of England Academy, we are fully committed to upholding the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). We ensure that:

📊 Monitoring for Equality

We review and analyse outcome and performance data annually – including national measures such as SATs, phonics screening, EYFS results, and Multiplication Check scores – looking specifically at pupil groups who share protected characteristics, such as:

  • Pupils with SEND

  • Pupils eligible for Pupil Premium

  • EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils

  • Gender and minority ethnic groups

Where significant gaps are identified, targeted support and interventions are put in place and carefully evaluated.

  • Policy Making: Equality is considered at every stage of policy development and review, not as an afterthought 

  • Inclusive Practices: Adjustments are made to curriculum delivery, uniforms, worship, and assessment to ensure accessibility, dignity, and respect for all

  • Empowering Culture: We foster good relations and engagement through initiatives like “Owl Parliament”, diversity celebrations, Rights Respecting Schools work, and our inclusive worship and values programmes
